英國貓王」美譽的樂壇金童子奇里夫李察Cliff Richard，
1940年出生於印度﹐第一張細碟歌曲Move It發行於1958年, 早期的名曲多不勝數, 60年代有Summer Holiday, The Young Ones, Evergreen Tree, Theme For A Dream, Constantly, Congratulations, 70年代有 Devil Woman, Sing a Song of Freedom, Goodbye Sam, Hello Samantha , Power To Our Friends, You Keep Me Handing On,
80年代有 Daddy's Home, Ocean Deep, 與ONJ合唱電影仙樂都插曲Suddenly, 與Sarah Brightman合唱Phantom Of The Opera 插曲All I Ask Is You. 其後仍有出版大碟﹐但歌曲流行程度只屬一般。 還是英國樂迷的情意結﹐他以一首很普通的作品Millennium Prayer成為上世紀英國細碟榜最後的Number One細碟。
很奇怪﹐他橫跨樂壇五個年代﹐在英國有著輝煌的成績﹐也曾積極打入美國市場﹐甚至專程到當地錄音及製作﹐
但美國的成積還是強差人意。
