2014年Coldplay 發行《Ghost Stories》專輯，Chris Martin 坦言，這張專輯受與結髮十年的前妻Gwyneth Paltrow 離婚影響，曲風回歸早期沈鬱中帶有溫熱的調性。專輯叫好叫座，榮獲2015年第57屆葛萊美獎最佳流行演唱專輯、2015年告示牌音樂獎最佳搖滾專輯。
