Greg Joy was born in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. He is a professionally educated musician, graduating from The Victoria Conservatory of Music in the late 70's, where he studied classical guitar.He plays 6-string guitar, flute, mandolin and hammer dulcimer; keeping a thread of folk, baroque, jigs, reels and medevial influence in his music. He has produced several albums and owns his own recording company.
