Beginning as a kids show host, independent Hong Kong singer-songwriter Denis Ng sees music as a means for him to make social commentary and convey positive ideas to the new generation. He released four albums in the last six years, including a best-of collection two years ago. In 2010, he brings us his latest music creations with his new album Independent Times..., which features people from different walks of life singing about their interesting stories. The amusing main plug "Old Cow Voice" is actually an encouraging song inspired by what he witnessed in the music awards ceremonies. Also among the album's eight tracks are "Love is But a Game" (a duet with Angela Au) and "Broken Bridge" (the concept theme song for Scud's movie Amphetamine).
